slick.

i spent the evening redesigning danndesigns.com's look, and as much as i detest words like "edgy" and "hip"... i have to say that i went for a "slick" new look.

i whittled down the amount of designs, so to see my full body of work, you should check my flickr page.

and to celebrate the new doman/new design, i put together a video on the home page. i was inspired by a blog on threadless collecting initial sketches of printed threadless designs, to both contribute, and make this video:

mid-february extravaganza!

lots of stuff going on, including a couple of ego-strokes i'm not yet at liberty to discuss.

i've submitted a few more designs to loiter:






i'm putting together a website for a church my grandfather is a part of, i don't have the site built yet, but i put together a logo for them that i'm currently pretty keen on:



and i also was charged with the creative challenge of making a visually interesting commercial for braggame rights (a local gaming store) with nothing but a pre-existing radio ad, so i put together the graphics and artistic direction for this ad:

game over.

unfortunately for yoshi, the most delicious fruit often hung over tar pits.

norris v. transformers

i've had a lazy labor day afternoon awaiting a visit to my parent's place for cheddarwursts and cheesedip.

so i decided to piece this video, transformers starring chuck norris, together for poops and heehaws.



i was very surprised to see the referral videos that come up after the initial video is done, i had no idea that so many transformers fans have envisioned a universe where shape shifting robots and chuck norris lived side by side.

my daughter and i collab'd on another little animation project.

more than double the length of its predecessor, and even more crude 3 year old humor!

had a little patch of time, decided to make another one:

obsessed with 15 year old boys.

my wife (specifically) and i caught hold of a youtube all-star.

daxflame.

the first vlog we saw of his was his last blog ever.

at first we were amused by a kid with obvious mental instabilities.

months later, we watched more of his videos, and as we started from video one and worked our way toward video 100, we found plainly obvious that he was acting. but he's and incredible actor. his commitment to the character rivals that of will ferrel's best work.

so now my wife and i sit on pins and needles awaiting his new videos. last week, i was working on an aforementioned rap song.

i thought it would be funny to take that beat and make a rap song about daxflame.

be warned, if you don't know the ins and outs of bernice daxflame juach's world, the lyrics will be confusing, but still give it a listen for the beats, i'm proud of them and the song is barely over a minute long as is.
